usiong as it is stated in the wiki, produces an error message:

 recode -d u8..ltex myfile.bib

adding verbose:

rk...@ecolmod:~/tmp$ recode -dv u8..ltex myfile.bib
Request: UTF-8..:libiconv:..ISO-8859-1..LaTeX
Shrunk to: UTF-8..ISO-8859-1..LaTeX
Recoding myfile.bib... failed: Invalid input in step `UTF-8..ISO-8859-1'
rk...@ecolmod:~/tmp$

I assume, that some strange characters are in the input file?

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

Rainer
