Sec. 4.6 of the Advanced Features help manual covers a wide range of possibilities. However, LyX only supports reverse search. That is: you click in the PDF and then LyX will set the cursor to that place. What Ami wants is forward search (putting the cursor in LyX shall cause the PDF viewer to jump to the respective place).
