On Mac, the standard way to enter "ó" is: <opt>e o. This works in LyX
as well: you can basically type special characters using Mac
standards.

I don't know how to get the equivalent of \H{o}, but that's just my
ignorance. (How would you do it in TextEdit.app? Doesn't that work in
LyX?)
