Apparently you are looking at the Chinese translation of intro.lyx
under doc/zh_CN/. The situation you saw (punctuations in the very
beginning of lines) was not really a big deal, because LyX means to be
WYSIWYM instead of WYSIWYG. It's not likely to happen in your final
PDF output provided you use a decent LaTeX package to handle the
Chinese document, e.g. ctex. These packages can correctly put the
punctuations in the end of lines.

So, Julio, I guess this is not a bug of LyX (at least not serious),
and I have confirmed that there are no spaces before the punctuations
in the above document. However, I would certainly appreciate if LyX
can be enhanced somehow to treat CJK documents differently with other
languages, because in CJK languages, we do not use spaces to separate
words, which can make the LyX document look rather ugly if there is
one space in a whole paragraph of several lines -- LyX treats this
paragraph as if it had three words so the space will be extremely
wide. But again, this is no big deal, since we can use inter-word
spaces "\ " instead of ordinary spaces " " to make the document look
better (inter-word spaces do not get stretched).

Regards,
Yihui
