Hmm, I think, I didn't understand you. I tried to move some standard toolbar from top to left margin and it worked. The file where LyX saved this change is: ~/Library/Preferences/org.lyx.LyX-2.1.plist Can you see any problem there? Or do you have a complete different problem? Stephan
