Hi, the user folder is a different one for LyX 1.6 and 2.0 on a mac. This already doesn't work for me either. 1. I'm previewing the LyX Tutorial. The Preview app is showing the pdf. 2. After configuring it I used Navigate => Forward Search 3. The message pane displays: 18:06:36.201: (forward-search) Running: /Applications/Skim.app/Contents/SharedSupport/displayline 423 Tutorial.pdf Tutorial.tex 4. Skim is opened and displays the title page of the pdf document. I think, LyX changes to the temp buffer and runs the mentioned command. If I do the same in the terminal window the same happens and there is no error. I've verified the line 423 of the file Tutorial.tex and it's the correct one. So, I've no clue why that fails. Currently I have no chance to verify it with LyX 1.6. Richard, what version of Skim and Mac OS X did you use successfully? Stephan
