Dear LyX friends,
currently the Linux Weekly News web page contains an article about a plan to
deploy 140000 Linux computer labs in schools all over Mexico. See
http://www.lwn.net/
Now what struck me is that these folks intend to use Gnome (which is OK) and
the word processor gwp, which IFAIK is a completely new, written-from-scratch
thing that does not yet work very well. They intend to do some development
work on it.
I believe someone should tell these people not to waste their development
energy and instead help get gLyX out of the door! Based on a mature
typesetting system, ready localized to spanish,

So please, Alejandro, I think as the right honourable representative from the
Republic of Mexico, you have some PR work to do!
BTW the LyX mailing list is not updating its threaded archive. Who fixes it?
