Hello everyone,
I've put together a new document in the development release
that discusses gui independence. Its made up of the stuff
originally from the devguide.lyx but also includes a bunch
of new stuff. I generated a set of web pages from the document
and they can be viewed online at my revised LyX pages.
I have a revised my web site structure a bit so now you'll
have to change your bookmarks to point at:

and the online GUI independence document can be found at:

I figured I'd better get this written for two reasons:
1. I'm going to be a lot busier than I had expected so I almost
certainly won't be getting all the xforms stuff shifted before
Christmas.
2. There have been a few requests for info of late.
I've included so stuff from recent mailing list conversations
including Asger's quick GUI overview from two days ago.

P.S. Lars and Asger if you want to finish rebuilding the LyX
development web pages take a look at my home directory on
nazgul. You'll find there two tar.gz's. One has the couple
of pages I had in my cache the other is the gui-indep pages.
