Hi

I'm using Lyx v0.12.0 BETA of FEB 3 1998, which appears to be the
latest(?).

I have been testing Lyx's BIBTEX capability.

It claims to have BIBTEX support, and does really appear to
insert correct BIBTEX commands. However, it does not actually
run BIBTEX, even though the user documentation claims that it does.
Enclosed is a file that illustrates this problem, which DOES NOT
produce any reference list when you preview the .dvi file in LYX.

On the other hand, if I export the latex, then run
(latex,bibtex,latex,latex),
I will get the correct result.

Do you agree this is a bug? Or have I misinterpreted the Tutorial
Chapter 5.2.5? Should I get a later version - from where?

Thanks to the LYX team for making this program available. I'm
looking forward to having the Tex import facility, in order to
exchange files with non-Lyx users. This is the main current
drawback to Lyx at this site.

yours sincerely,

Peter Drummond.
