I am pleased to announce the release of lzip 1.9. Lzip is a lossless data compressor based on the LZMA algorithm, with very safe integrity checking and a user interface similar to the one of gzip or bzip2. Lzip decompresses almost as fast as gzip and compresses better than bzip2, which makes it well suited for software distribution and data archiving.
The homepage is at http://www.nongnu.org/lzip/lzip.html. The sources can be downloaded from http://download.savannah.gnu.org/releases/lzip/. The md5sums are: 9e1d7f4db5b953e9f75b8500ebe0d4c0 lzip-1.9.tar.gz 4e14aef54aedfbcf8529baa1b8a6d76f lzip-1.9.tar.lz This release is also GPG signed. You can download the signature by appending ".sig" to the URL. Changes in version 1.9: * Lzip now returns at least 1 if closing stdout fails. * Lintian warnings in Debian about man pages have been fixed. * The "COPYING" file is no more used as data for testing. Please send bug reports and suggestions to [email protected] Regards, Antonio Diaz, lzip author and maintainer. _______________________________________________ Lzip-bug mailing list [email protected] http://lists.nongnu.org/mailman/listinfo/lzip-bug
