Lzlib is a data compression library providing in-memory LZMA compression and decompression functions, including integrity checking of the decompressed data. The compressed data format used by the library is the lzip format. Lzlib is written in C and is distributed under a 2-clause BSD license.

The homepage is at http://www.nongnu.org/lzip/lzlib.html

Changes in this version:

  * Lzlib now reports a nonzero first LZMA byte as a LZ_data_error.

* minilzip now exits with error status 2 if any empty member is found in a multimember file.

* To improve portability, the linker option '--soname' is no longer used. Instead the shared library is written to 'liblz.so.1'. (Reported by Michael Sullivan).

Regards,
Antonio Diaz, lzlib author and maintainer.
