Darn it, I wrote it wrong. It is telnet time.nist.gov 13 ... that spits out the cryptic string used by my dialup time setting program. And then disconnects.
In about 1991 I used to call BBSs with my model 100, and there were some that came through just fine. Those were the text only ones that did not use ANSI. I think there was one called a "Henge".
