I was figuring that the BCR port might be a possible power source for the wifi232, but was a tad concerned about the current draw. The M100 uses ~65mA, but the wifi232 is bound to draw at least 100, right? A quick glance at the techref shows that 5V is provided by a DC-DC converter but I can't find any current specs on their circuit. But, it looks like the worst that could happen is the low battery light comes on of the auto-shut-off circuit shuts down the machine. Probably can't hurt to try.
