I use Serial as well. I used to just use the native terminal but had some issues with a piece of network equipment. Also, typically if I'm connecting to the serial console on a peice of gear at work it's because there is a problem and Serial makes it easy to just connect and go without trying to remember the details of setting up a serial connection from the terminal.
