On the cable from the Model T to the centronics connector, Pin 18 isn't used.
(counting on the Centronics side) because there are only 26 wires on it.

I get that, but ...1. I never heard of such a thing and2. The Model T is a
Tandy computer and3. the so called 'dangerous' pin is not used on a std. Model
100 printer cable.

One way to make a cable that probably will work for both:- find about 6 ft (150
cm) of 26-wire flatcable.- get a clip-on 36-pin Centronics plug, male for the
printer side- get a clip-on 26-pins pin-plug for the printer port of the Model
T, female - get a clip-on 34-pin card-edge connector for the 1000 HX.
- at one side, put the Centronics plug. Align pin 1 on wire 1. (typically red)
Use a bench vice for even pressure. Yes, I know, you don't have enough wires.
Never mind.- at the other side, put the 26-pins plug. Align pin 1 on wire 1.
Use the bench vice.
- 2 inch/5 cm below that, put the 36-pins card-edge connector. Align pin 1 on
wire 1. Use the bench vice. Yes, I know, you don't have enough wires. Never
mind.
In my opinion, that should work for both computers. I know I have such a cable.
But anybody can tell me I'm wrong.
