As a quick follow-up about the GuruModem and WiModem232 gadgets, here’s a quick 
video showing the devices themselves plus how to plug them in and turn them on. 
While the video doesn’t dive deep into the extended Hayes AT command set, it 
does give you an initial impression of what these are like and how they work.

Note that I use these to connect to remote Telnet sites and FTP sites, which is 
really fun (as others have commented). On my to-do backlog is to setup a host 
on one of my computers and connect the Model T to the computer using FTP (or in 
shell mode with the GuruModem). For now I’m having fun with retro BBS surfing 
joys!
