2.04) that came with some other M100 stuff I got on eBay a while
ago. I don't need it since I am not an Apple person, and cannot
verify the diskette. It can be had for $10 including shipping, if
that will help.

There's a program called MacDOS II, I believe it's a TPDD
emulator for
older macs. Not sure what vintage. I don't know where to find it.
If he can find development tools for the machine, dlplus might
be the best
bet.
