B9, Team,

 

I have a barcode wand and a few accessories as well from my purchases and 
research. I think I will have some free time this weekend to test the Barcode 
scanner and get a fair estimate of how much time it needs to enter data.

 

I want to thank you all for the support and insights. You've given me a lot of 
good info to help with the story. I've even think I found a plausible answer to 
the radiation shielding issue that provides a fairly low tech solution for the 
ship and electronics (no spoilers).
