Fix For: 1.0-alpha-1
there is a partial requirement that M2_HOME is set. This will probe awkward for
new users as seen on IRC, so remove the need for it (but still allow it as a
way to specify your HOME and override the use of the script location which is
the default). maven-core-it seems to require it presently for maven.home.
