Having a hard-coded, absolute path for your build directory for your project(s) is a bad bad practice. It makes your project(s) not portable across machines. It certainly isn't supported in m2e.
You can use any non-default directory for your project, in m2e, as long as it's located under your project. Now if you could explain the rationale of having such a setup, we might help you find a proper solution.
