In m2e 1.3, the behavior for <execute/> mapping of maven plugins has been
changed to runOnIncremental=false by default[1], to prevent random build
loops.

You need to change your lifecycle mapping configuration to use :

<execute><runOnIncremental>false</runOnIncremental></execute>
