I am using beta4
Quoting Nathan Binkert <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>:
Which version of M5 are you using? This is more or less what you
need to do in beta4, but the older versions are much more involved.
Can you send a diff to the list?
Nate
I am trying to pass the size of the block inside a physical memory
object. I have added a new field on the PhysicalMemory.py:
block_size = Param.Int(16, "...");
From my configuration file I do: system.physmem.block_size = 64
After compiling the simulation gives me a warning-error
File "build/ALPHA_SE/python/m5/SimObject.py", line 611, in __setattr__
raise AttributeError, "Class %s has no parameter %s" \
AttributeError: Class PhysicalMemory has no parameter block_size
So I removed the new parameter from the configuration file and
inserted an assert int the physical memory constructor { ...
assert(p->block_size == 16);}. Still did not work. It seems that i
have missed something and the parameter never pass to the physical
memory.
Thanks
Panos
