Hello, Matt:
Verizon, have a few good phones, that are good to use with m.a. Most of them do have a full physical qwerty keyboard, navigation pad, arrow keys, and buttons on the bottom of the screen that will answer or end calls. I would suggest, visiting a Verizon corporate store and checkout the phones that they have and see which one that you think would be good for you. Also when you speak to Verizon’s phone customer service, if you let them know that you’re blind or visually impaired, they will help you out the best they can, to help you find a phone that might be good for you, and they will direct to stores that would have all the phones with all the features you are looking with in a phone. Good luck. From: Just Friends Sent: Tuesday, January 17, 2012 8:30 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [MA] New Android Phone and MA Hello, I am new to the list and to the world of android. I am planning to upgrade my phone to a smart phone and am with verizon. I have read that to use Mobile Accessibility and a android phone, the phone needs to have a track pad or arrows or track ball. However, I am having trouble finding a phone with these features. I have found several with a slide out keyboard which is what I want but no physical buttons. Does anyone have a recommendation for a phone with Verizon that works well with MA? Also, those of you that are usig android, do you find it pretty accessible using MA?Thanks for the help.
