Correct. You still need to use something like a track pad or arrow keys.
The only place the touch screen works in gingerbread is within the MA suite
of apps.

The reason I am thinking of purchasing the full version is because it
will make the touch screen usable for the whole phone. Inside and
outside of the MA suite. I am using a Samsung captivate glide and have
no clue when it will get the ICS upgrade.
