Yes you do, if you have an sd card, just transfer them to the music folder on there or create one. As was said, there is streaming capatility and last fm for that matter, so you can do that.

So, you already have to have the songs on the phone already, in order to use
this app?

Thanks. I already love it and will be purchasing the paid app.

I do have the paid version, it adds song, artist, and album
functionality. haven't really explored more than that, try the free
version and then if you like it but want the additional functionality,
it is worth the upgrade price.

Plenty. First off, it's got folder-based navigation. So there's no
complicated browsing, no odd library functionallity. You have things
like repeat, shuffle, and playlist creation. You can save your own
playlists and select them for later playback if you wish. There is a
sleep timer, too. So you can set it to play a file or a playlist, and
it will turn off after the amount of time you specify. You can add
effects to the audio, like surround sound, reverb, 3 d, etc. You can
stream web content through it... mind you, I've never done that
before so I can't tell you how it works. There are plenty of
easy-to-use controls, mostly located along the bottom edge of the
screen. Rewind, play-slash-pause, fast forward, reverse, skip, etc.
You can customize the length of time the fast forward and rewind
functions operate with.
i. E. Whether you go forward or back five seconds, ten, fifteen, etc.
You can also have it running in the background while you do other
things. You can set it to stop playing when you do certain things
like answering and making a call, or even plugging or unplugging your
headset. I think I've covered everything, in the light version anyway.
lol I don't have the paid version yet and so can't really get into
detail about that. If anyone's interested I'd be happy to help with
any questions. Like I said, I swear by this app and as long as they
keep up the accessibility, I'm not using anything else.

          Cheers,
      Amanda

Hi,

Yes. I personally swear by Tiny Player. There's a light version and
a paid version. Both are absolutely wonderful. Simple, small, yet
packed with useful features.

A word of advise, though. If you decide to check it out, there is
something in the settings that says switch to classic view. Make
sure you do that.
Otherwise it will be a pain!

      Cheers,
      Amanda
