Both phones will work with MA, However, there is really no need for MA. The Google nexis 4 is a pure Android device, that is, no beels and whistles, no additional skins, no bloatware. The advantage is that because Google has control of the update process, not Samsung nor the carrier, you get the latest firmware or the OS that is, and as such, are more up to date then you would otherwise be. The disadvantage is you don't get the gimmickry that samsung and others adds. In comparison, there are fewer sensors, no removable battery, no way to add an SD card, so therefore you can't swap out cards for additional storage for use if you have a large audio collection. For a blind person, either phone will work splendly and comes down to what you want to do with it or what you like. Me personly, I would go with the Nexis 4 over the Galaxy sIV unless there is a Google edition as I don't care for the time delay between when the Next OS version comes out and samsung takes to release it. Now having said all that, there is one more consideration, the sIV supports LTE whereas the nexis 4 does not. If that is important to you, Then the Galaxy sIV is the way to go. Both phones operate on Android 4.2.2 and both phones will be upgraded to Android 4.3, though the nexis 4 will get it much faster.

In summary, both products will work with MA, but it is no longer needed. It is a choice of feature sets is all.

I'm also looking to make the switch from apple to android soon. What
do you know about the google nexus 4. Will it work well with MA, or
should I go with the Samsung Galaxy s4 as you suggested?

You can use a virtual keyboard, but depending on the Bluetooth keyboard,
you could still benefit from it. Now as far as physical keyboard
phones, I don't know any I would recommend today, but sometime around
the 8th, Motorola is going to offer the droid ultra line of phones, as a
replacement for the Razr line I think. One of the razrs, the Razr-m is
a midrange device with a physical keyborad. If you can hold out until
then, You might want to consider that one the Droid Ultra-m that is at
that time. I too used to think I wouldn't get use to a virtual
keyboard, but I switch between my bluetooth and virtual keyboard. Since
my keys are small and without the nibs on the F and J keys, sometimes I
just use the virtual keyboard, which is sometimes faster for me.

Thannks, dusty! I apppreciate your response. What if I do want a physical
keyboard? That is what I am used to, and I am loathe to give that up. Do
you think I can type emails, etc., as well with just a virtual keyboard?
Or would I need to use a bluetooth keyboard if I didn't get a phone with
a physical keyboard? I know it is a matter of opinion, but I value your
opinion and the opinions of others on this list who are experienced.
Thanks again.
