Yes, TB don’t allow you set pitch for the TTS, it rely on the Pitch setting of the TTS itself.
This why the check box should be check if you wish to have TB using the Eloquence the pitch you like. However there is no alternate or workaround to modify the pitch much deeper than what you have it in Eloquence settings. On the other hand, the check box is there to let user set pitch as master settings and when you do that, the application that use Eloquence will not be able to change the pitch from their settings. If the check box is not checked, Eloquence will speak with the pitch setting of the application that is using it. Hope this helps. I've just installed this, and i'm trying to set my pitch. i've noticed on my handset that i first have to go in to launch engine settings, then click launch engine settings again. when i change it from 6 which is the default to 7 which is the next one up, eloquence seems to go up quite a few octaves. you'd expect it to go up in pitch to sound the same as the default pitch of jaws, but instead it goes up quite a few pitch settings. is it meant to behave like this? could you perhaps add more pitch denominations to allow finer control over the pitch of the voice? also its worth noting that i have to force the pitch change by using the check box before it'll even change the pitch. is there perhaps something i'm missing?
