Hello,

Previously I wrote in stating that I recently switched over to an Iphone 5s.

I am very appreciative of MA having their product that allowed me to use the Android phone for years. It was a $95.00 purchase I had to make to use the Android phone. While it worked pretty well on most applications, I don't think it worked perfectly on any application.
Talkback seems to be a pretty good product as well.

If you look back over the past 2 years on this email mailing list there are many many emails speaking of issues with MA. Again, please understand that MA helped me very much over the past 3 years or so.

I have never owned an Apple product in my life. Over the past 2 months however, my experience with the Iphone 5s has been a pleasure. I will actually say I love the Iphone. I never said that about the Android and MA.

The fact that accessibility is built into all of their products via Voice over is awesome. Even with the Apple TV it has Voice over. This allows you to hear everything read allowed on the TV menus. Even Netflix movie titles etc are read aloud as you navigate through the menus.

Again, I am appreciative of MA but the switch to the Iphone was the right move for me and I wish I would have done it years ago.

just sharing my opinion to help others.

Ma needs a lot of work, it crashes on kitcat and android-L it flat out
does not work. In web views MA is cut out of the loop because web
views are totally integrated into talkback and braille back. I have a
IPhone 5S while its great explore by touch needs help. No need to
argue its a fact, android has IPhone beet here. I think its mute
topic telling someone to get an IPhone just because MA is crapping
out. Talkback works very well and side tapping jesters are coming to
the main version of talkback soon. Its found in the beta. Tip when
using talkback, when editing you can invoke the slect cursor and then
use your volume up and down to more the arrows round when in edit
fields to select text. Its something people do not know or leave out
when set few push other blind users to use an IPhone.

Hello,

I feel compelled to send my opinion.

I had Android phones for years. I always had the phones that had keyboards.
It was my thought that the phones worked pretty good for accessibility.

I switched to an Apple Iphone 5s 2 months ago.
The Iphone is touch screen only.
Without going into details. I can honestly say I wish I woulhave switched
ten years ago.
The Iphone accessibility is nothing less than amazing.

Have you tried Google goggles? That seems to work pretty decently. At least
it has on my tablet.

Ovimaps seem to be now available on Playstore. I downloaded it. It cann
neither be used with MA nor other screenreaders, at least not version
6.1 which seems in the store.
it collects information about your contacts and creates a database.
The navigation seems completely inaccessible. What is even worse, it is
a little tricky to get rid of it from the phone.

The iPhone has been praised for it's accessibility. However Talkback has
become a lot mor accessible lately. The fact that Apple refuses to
accept languages as Icelandic and those of small nations lets me choose
the Android system.
