Appreciate your response. I did had storage enabled for UEFI, but /boot/efi 
partition was not created automatically during commissioning. I tried manually 
creating the partition and deploy the OS, but /boot/efi partition does not seem 
to be getting used.

Whether a system boots in EFI or Legacy mode it is configured from the machine 
BIOS settings.
If you change the mode, make sure you recommission the node on MAAS.
