Hello,
I am using Pages on Lion with VoiceOver and need to create numbered and
bulleted lists. I followed the instructions in the help i.e. set automatic
lists on in preferences, type say 1 followed by period and space and then the
list item which might span several lines. then press return and type the second
list item and so on. to terminate the list press return twice.

When I do this the numbers of the list items do not appear in the document and
I am thus not sure what has happened. Similarly when I try a bulleted list the
bullets do not appear. Is there any way to check that the numbers and bullets
are really there? Also if I check the cursor offset when it is positioned on
the first character of each line it seems that pressing return twice does not
exit the list.

So do numbered and bulleted lists really work as advertised in Pages on Lion?
Ideally I would prefer to use styles from the styles drawer to create lists and
headings and so on in my document and ideally have VoiceOver speak the current
style whenever that style changes as you arrow around your document. However I
could not get this to work.

I would thus appreciate any tips on creating Pages documents with headings and
lists using VoiceOver.

Many thanks.
