To be honest Esther I don't know a hell of a lot about Protools. All I know is that it's about the most sophisticated audio editor around, and I'm trying to future-proof my tiny lab setup because, bluntly, research funding is pretty much impossible to get. So if I could get away with a software solution I'd be happy enough. I see some hardware on their site but honestly haven't a clue what any of it does/means.
