I know that the flash also used to play a large part in the quality of the OCR, 
but I'm no expert in lenses and camera technology so am not sure if it's still 
a factor.  I remember the N82 had a xenon flash as opposed to the LED one found 
on other models.  Even then a polarising filter had to be fitted (if memory 
serves)
