I would point out that recording calls in that way is illegal in the UK. If you 
wish to record telephone calls you o]hav] have a legal obligation to inform the 
other party. That's why the beeps exist in most applications that let you do 
this.

It can be done using hardware; but it isn't legal. I personally have never, 
with the exception of Skype, seen anything in software that will let you do it 
but it is possible you might be able to with a VOIP configuration.
