According to my talking kitchen scale, my 64 GB 4S weighed .1 oz more than my 32 GB 3GS. I didn't think to try metric weights, but that would equal approximately 3 grams. Perhaps the greater storage capacity or the 4s processor chip accounted for the disparity in our observations? Despite the weight and lack of rounded corners, I have no regrets whatsoever about upgrading!!

My iPhone 4 arrived yesterday morning. Unfortunately I'm not able to do much at all with the device yet as I'm still awaiting my replacement SIM card so the following are just first initial impressions and of the new iPhone when compared to my 3GS I used to have. The design is interesting, a stainless steel frame around the phone, both the front and back panels are supposed to be glass. Apparently the iPhone 4 is tougher than it looks, I don't want to try and find out. The iPhone 4 doesn't feel as nice in my hand as the 3GS did, I suppose this is because of its rounded body and its something I'll just have to get used to. The iPhone 4 seems heavier than the 3GS when it actual fact both phones are the same weight, the difference is that the iPhone 4 has more squeezed into a smaller area thus it seems heavier. I have Voiceover working and the audio through the speaker seems better than that of the 3GS though as I said earlier, I haven't progressed all that far with the "Setup" because of the absence of the new SIM card, not to worry as there's now no excuse for the iPhone 4 not to have a very nice long battery charge <smile>. <--- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net ---> To reply to this post, please address your message to mac-access@mac-access.net You can find an archive of all messages posted to the Mac-Access forum at either the list's own dedicated web archive: <http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/pipermail/mac-access/index.html> or at the public Mail Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-access@mac-access.net/>.
