Hello Tony, A Mac is not a Windows PC and you need to learn a new way of working. Did you have some kind of training on the PC? You need to find someone who knows the Mac to get you started.
If you live near an Apple Store, you could sign up for a year of one-to-one training at a very reasonable price.
