Subject line says everything, I've now been using my iPod Touch for over 2 hours, its currently streaming music to my JBL "Onbeat Air" "Airplay" compatible speaker system in the kitchen <smile>. The Touch is all one could want in my view if one already has a phone which suits their needs. I'd advise against using the external speaker if at all possible, audio is okay and certainly better than that found in previous generations of iPod touch but volume could be a problem if you're hard at hearing so I opted to use the supplied earbuds when setting up the machine. Setup was a breeze and so was updating the IOS, no problems whatever. In looks the iPod Touch looks more like an iPhone 3GS though quite a bit thinner. Still to load the Touch up with my favourite apps, thank goodness for iCloud <smile>. Not sure I like the headphones socket on the bottom of the device, I guess its put there for uniformity between different iPod models? Would have preferred it at the top and perhaps a bigger internal speaker in its place at the bottom. Volume of sounds at present is rather low and feedback from iPod touch and Voiceover doesn't seem to be as good as that found on the iPhone, by feedback I'm referring to feedback with sounds otherwise what you hear with Voiceover on an iPhone is exactly what you'll be hearing on an iPod Touch. Its also possible that I may need to do some tweaking of the sound settings to get more out of the device. <--- Mac Access At Mac Access Dot Net ---> To reply to this post, please address your message to mac-access@mac-access.net You can find an archive of all messages posted to the Mac-Access forum at either the list's own dedicated web archive: <http://mail.tft-bbs.co.uk/pipermail/mac-access/index.html> or at the public Mail Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-access@mac-access.net/>.
