Hello John

Remote Desktop definitely is not and, I'm told by Apple engineers, will never
be accessible unless they do a total rewrite. The user interface relies on
imaging technologies which it isn't possible to have spoken or piped to
VoiceOver as text.

I have used iChat screen sharing to control another Mac to troubleshoot for a
friend and a friend's daughter. It works well, but the other person has to
have the volume turned up so you can hear VoiceOver on their end. You can
control the computer, but you have to rely on their VoiceOver feedback. It's a
little strange, but it works.

You can also do it via terminal with remote login and using SSH, but you
have to be comfortable with terminal and know what you are doing.

OK, so ARD is not accessible. That answers that question ....
