Now that is a little strange, should be able to double click it and it show up 
then, of course I am using a 3 g s, can't remember at the moment which one you 
are using.  It did take me a while to find the little edit button though, and 
the delete buttons aren't very large either.  It's like it doesn't want us to 
remove messages *lol*.
