Hi Sarah,

Are you trying to do a remote login?  Because users cannot log in to the guest 
account remotely.  And did you go to System Preferences > Users & Groups to 
check that the box is still checked for "Allow guests to log in to this 
computer" when you select "Guest User" in the sidebar? Because you can set this 
up so that you have the box for "Allow guests to connect to shared folders" 
without checking the box for "Allow guests to log in to this computer".
