Hi Eric,
The good news is that you don't need a monitor.
The bad news is that when I go in to system preferences and check use all F1 F2 keys etc, it forgets the changes when I restart.
If I find anything else, I will let you know.

thanks, I'm running a standard mini and prefer running without a display but expect I'll need to give in and get one.
