I disagree with this view. I will never buy an MBP or MBA but was happy to buy an IMAC.
1. Vastly superior extended keyboard available. For me VO becomes transformed with proper access to numpad commander. 2. Better drive capacity. I have a combination of fast 256 gb solid state drive for operating system and programs plus 2 TB second drive for data. I know of no MPB or MBA which can approach this capacity. 3. Easily accessible superdrive - I think it is nonsense to assume nobody uses CDs or DVDs any more. All RNIB books are on CD. 4. Size of Screen - Although this does not apply to me my sighted brother tells me that he would be driven mad by the apparent inability to adjust font size within OS elements on MBA and MBP. He can only just cope with 27 inch screen IMac. 5. The sound output is far louder from an IMac and is feasible to use as an entertainment source in say a large living room.
