Listers,

For anyone in the future having trouble with installing Dropbox here
are a few more tips.

I thought I had fixed mine earlier but in the end it was still not sinking.
Finally it is now working correctly. Here is what finally worked.

First, I had dropbox working on Lyon but after update it would not work saying
it didn't have permission
I tried the usual tricks but no luck.

So here is what worked.

First go to the extras menu in Mountain Lion, under dropbox go to preferences
Then in the tool bar select account
now unlink the computer
I then backed up the important contents of Dropbox to be extra safe.
I then quit the dropbox process in Activity Monitor
Then deleted the dropbox app
Then a new step. I deleted my dropbox folder from my computer.
I then reinstalled dropbox from my desk top area being sure not to first place
the app in the app folder.
The instructions worked normally this time and the status is now All files up
to date.

Wow! this was so much more complicated then when I did the first update to
Mountain Lion. that time things just worked.

Best.
