Hello everybody OK, i have received a lot of response to this. So I'm going to tell you more. First, I should also let you know that the registration method for this app is slightly different to what you might expect. They use a totally separate application for this function which is in the disk image along with the installation utility.
Virtual CD uses a kernel extension which allows the driver to appear as another CD drive in your operating system. It works very well actually.
