Trevor, you don't need to install Leopard, Snowleopard will suffice. Heck,
even Lion would do fine. You just don't wanna do Mountain Lion quite yet.
What I have done is to create two partitions on my drive, and divide the
disk capassity split right down the middle, so half the drive for one, and
half for the other. So I have a 2 50 gig drive. So 1 25 is for one
partition volume, and the final 1 25 for the other volume. Obviously, it's
not quite equal, seeing that Mountain Lion does take up a bit for the
recovery partition, but! you get the idea. Then, I installed Snowleopard on
one partition, which is the one I use ProTools on, and all my other audio
stuff, then on the other partition, I installed Mountain Lion. This way, I
basically can dule boot. It's nice, as I always can have the most recent O
S, yet, not worry about touching the ProTools stuff and having to worry
about compatibility breakages. Have you joined the pt access mailing list?
There are a ton of people over there like myself who use ProTools on a very
very regular basis, some as a hobby, and some like myself as they're
profession, for a living.

Notice, I didn't say, dash! subscribe, that wasn't a typo. googlegroups
does things a wee bit differently than most lists. it literally is the plus
symble. That was deliveretly written.

Hi Christopher,
I really wish I could help you but, I ave only just got pro tools and I
don't know yet very much about it.
With all the talk about compatibility, I am thinking about installing
leopard.
It may not be the best solution but, it is the only one I can think of.
Hope you find the answers your looking for.

Trevor,
What version of ProTools do you have? I saw an update the other day, but
I really didn't wanna update, as after the issues we're currently having,
and the fact that both Slau and Kevin have said things are still not
completely fixed, you know, with the counters, etc.
BTW, what key do I hit to increase and decrease my zoom level when I
press num pad plus, and minus to move through my session? Or ok, fine,
numpad 1 and 2, while stopped.
? I swear I'm pulling my hair out trying to remember. Also, if you're
running anything above 10.2, how're you dealing with the new A A X
plugins, being that unlike RTas, they're not accessible?
Thank you kindly,
Christopher-Mark Gilland.

Subject: Copying files on to an external hard drive
I have downloaded some drivers for a midi controller on to my mac and
for some reason it won't let me copy them on to an external hard drive.
I also downloaded an update for pro tools 10 and it won't let me put
them on to the external hard drive either.
Does anyone have any idea why please?
Thank you,
Trevor
