No. from the home screen,

1. double tap and hold on the app you want to delete until you hear 3 ascending
tones.

2. double tap the app again but don't hold. This is the same jester for opening
an app

3. a dialogue will come up saying do you want to delete this app?

4. double tap confirm after flicking right to it, or finding it down at the
bottom middle part of the screen.

5. Hit home to get out of this mode.

That's it. hope that helps.
