Hello Anne, This is invaluable. Incidentally, I'm starting to play around with adaptors which one can plug into the mains outlets and which give network connectivity. I've put one in the living room and connected a four-port switch to it. I'm happy to report that speed is at least as fast as my old WIFI signal and without the dropouts. It might, I say might, be useful given your thick stone walls. On the other hand, it may not :-)
