I think again this is a restriction imposed by apple. As I think was
explained before Apple will not allow in app purchases of books unless
Amazon are prepared to pay them 30% of the book price.

Inevitably then you will be able to have more features from the relatively
tiny selection of books available through iBooks and Apple because they will
not penalise their own book prices.

If you wan convenience you should stick to the restricted range available
from iBook . However if you are interested in a wider choice of books you
need to use the Amazon web site for both samples and purchases. Again this
is nothing to do with Amazon but is a restriction imposed by apple.
