Regarding your question, I don't think its possible.

You've certainly gone to a lot of trouble getting your iPod 4th generation onto 
your network - I take it you're referring to the iPod 4th Generation touch - 
but I'm curious, is there any particular reason why you wanted to do this? The 
iPod Touch 4th Generation is wi-Fi compatible so therefore it will connect to a 
Wi-Fi Network just as your Mac would.
