Thanks Judy - yes, all sorted now, or at least I've installed it and heard my first programme. No doubt I'll have questions at another time -

Hi Andy if you read Paul Hopewell email sent on 12 July his link is the same one I used and I managed to download Iplayer automator and I am not at all tech minded and pretty antique which is why it takes me a long time to master things. Judy

Thanks Carol - I hadn't got round to that as there seem to be several links for this player, and I'm not sure if they are all the same, and which to go for -

Andy,

I'm sure you are done this, but I just googled get iPlayer alternator and found quite a lot of different results. Maybe, as a last resort, you can look at these pages again.

Sorry I can't help further. I just don't use it and haven't got to that stage at all!

Anne - This isn't a clickable link. Also, if I use the link from your previous message, and envoke the roater, there are 2 links for Get iPlayer Automator, nothing for Get iPlayer Automator1, and clicking on the links, just brings up the same confusing page I was struggling with yesterday, namely the one that has links for smalldark... etc. I can't find any definite download for Get iPlayer Automator. So many of us seem to struggle with this programme, either getting it, or interacting with it <smile> -

Hello Andy,

I think if you click on this link, it should download automatically:
<Get iPlayer Automator>

If not, using my previous link, open the Web rotor and in the links list, select the link Get iPlayer Automator which is immediately below Get iPlayer Automator1.

Cheers,

Anne

Hi Anne - Thanks for this. I've just tried to grab it, but the download link for it isn't too clear. There only appears to be one download link, but it is talking about iPlayer downloader rather than Get iPlayer Automator. As there are other iplayer flavours mentioned too, such as iPlayer plus, I'm not clear on quite what it is i'm looking for? -

Hello Andy,

Here's the link:
<https://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/39019/get-iplayer-automator>

Here's how to use GetIplayerAutomator.

You need to press Return after entering the programme name in the search box. You then select the one you want from the Results table and click Add to queue. Then interact with the tool bar and click Start. Stop interacting with the tool bar and go to last visible item where you can follow the progress of the download.

Cheers,

Anne

Thanks Anne - I was only aware of people seeming to be having difficulty with it, but I will give it a go. Do you happen to have the link for it? Sorry, but with everything going on here in terms of learning the Mac, I didn't keep track of that thread -
