Agree about multiple format styles but there is inbuilt voiceover
flexibility in relation to using user definable keystrokes using Keyboard
commander so this is not in my view, really such an issue. You can define
necessary keystrokes through this commander or indeed numpad commander if
you have an extended keyboard.

Hi Jim, those are all standard text editing keystrokes you mentioned.
TextEdit will do that's fine. However, it doesn't have a user definable
keyboard shortcuts section and he can't really do styles.
There's a good Podcasts on Apple this by David Woodbridge about text editing
it  lists all those text editing commands by line, bye paragraph, by
sentence etc.
